My Week (#4)

I spent the past week piecing the top of this quilt for the little boy. I'm immensely pleased.

Now I hope to liesurely hand quilt the layers together over the next month or two. Generally I tie my quilts, and occasionally machine quilt them. Only once have I hand stitched. That's definitely the most time consuming, but also the most personal method. I'm thinking of what designs to stitch in. I suppose whatever I want, right? Stars, cowboy hats, wagon wheels, and horseshoes all come to mind. I'll keep you posted.

I've made baby quilts for my eight nieces and nephews, plus for a few friends. It's nice to finally make one I can keep!

The other baby quilts I've made have all been smaller than this. I made this one big enough that he can drag it around when he's a toddler and beyond, if he wants to. Big enough to watch TV under until he's about 6 or 7, maybe.
